Lufthansa Technik Announces New Facility In Puerto Rico

New facility for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) has been announced by Lufthansa Technik in Puerto Rico.

Lufthansa Technik of Puerto Rico employs around 400 workers and will have five lines of overhaul maintenance. At first plan, the facility could serve Airbus A320 C check and D check as well.

Lufthansa Technik Facility at Hamburg Airport

The maintenance facility will locate at Rafael Hernandez International Airport in Aguadilla. For this announcements, Lufthansa Technik has been seized prospect customer for the new site, such as JetBlue Airways and couple United States Airlines.

This investment will be part of long-term strategy anticipating airlines global growth. The deal between Lufthansa Technik and Puerto Rico could be first huge step to add another investment in same regional area.
